Of course, Microsoft used other fonts not just Helvetica, and when I said Helvetica, I meant Microsoft logo, You can clearly see that Helvetica Black Italic is mentioned as the font used for Microsoft logo, Try it here:

Also The Computer Reseller News Magazine had mentioned for that on March 1987, It said: &quot;The new logo, in Helvetica italic typeface, has a slash between the o  and s  to emphasize the &quot;soft&quot; part of the name and convey motion and speed.&quot;
