When designing a logo, you shoud know which type of logo would be the most fit for the client, type that will help you achieve a great solution. There are three basic types of logos, Iconic Logo, Logotype and the third is Combination Marks which combine between Iconic and Logotype, Each of these different classifications of logos have its own design challenges and features. We will talk about Logotype – also sometimes named Wordmark or Typographic logos -. Logotype is a standardized graphic representation of the name of a company, institution, or product name used for purposes of identification and branding. Type fonts that you are use or design come in thousands of possible sizes, variations, shapes and styles, each of them conveying a slightly different impression upon your intended audience.

Sketching lets you get all the Clear ideas out of the way so, It is let you dig deeper. when you are spending alot of time in sketching and developing the concept of logotype, you will have a deeper understanding of the elements of the logo. Another benefits for sketching is that you can do it from anywhere so that’s will give you more chances to inspiration.

3. Simplify

Keep in mind when you design a logotype, It should be a simple, clear and timeless like what Microsoft has. Make sure people can see what it says right away. If you are drawing of something specific or you adjusting a font.

4. Development

Always make sure to design your logo in vector application such as Adobe Illustrator which will be more scalable without losing its quality, also it is needs to appear crisp when you want to printed it on anything.

5. Kerning

kerning is the process of adjusting white spacing in the two dimensional blank spaces between each pair of letters that have similar area.

6. Tracking

Tracking or letter spacing as named in typography, is refers to the amount of space between a group of letters to affect density in a line or block of text.

7. Negative Space

White Space or Negative Space is the space around and between letters that mostly be unnoticed. The logo designers try to turn it into a key element of the logo design becouse it is play a part in the professional logo.

8. Spend Time On It

Do not try to make a professional logotype in 10 minutes! Take your time in thinking, sketching and developing, Give it some days to growing, Always make your aim to provide something unique and timeless.

10. Colours

“Brands are often defined by colours” and the colours is brings an emotional element so be careful to choose the appropriate colors which will improve your marketing results. You needs to know how to combination colours, what is tended to make people hungry? and what is tended to make people happy? Also, make sure your colour palette  specify as Pantone or CMYK references to certify correct colour when you want to print.
